Characteristics

Erect, dwarf shrub, up to 0.2 m high. Leaves 3-nate, erect, 2-5 x 0.5-1.0 mm, linear, acute, sulcate, glabrous to ciliolate. Flowers 3-nate, nearly erect to slightly drooping; pedicels with intermixed pilose and glandular hairs, 3 mm long. Calyx sepals erect, ± 3 mm long, linear, acute, apex keeled, gland-ciliate. Corolla 10-11 mm long, tubular to funnel-shaped, throat barely contracted, glabrous; lobes erect, 1 mm long, rounded, pink. Anthers exserted or manifest, ± 2 mm long, linear-oblong, base oblique, obtuse, aristate; theca half as wide as anthers; pore ± half as long or as long as theca. Ovary 4-locular, subglobose, glabrous; style exserted; stigma capitellate. Flowering time June.
