2-6 ft. high; branches long, virgate, slender, terminating in a conspicuous rosette of large pinkish green-tipped flowers; leaves 6-nate or scattered, erect-spreading; petioles capillary, 1 1/2 lin. long; blade linear, sub-terete, blunt, glabrous, the whole 1/2-2/3 in. long; flowers 10-25 in the umbel, sometimes pseudo-lateral owing to new growth; pedicels 3-4 lin. long; bracts foliaceous, linear, remote or subremote; sepals narrow-lanceolate, acute, foliaceous, glabrous, rather viscid, about 3 lin. long; corolla tubular, equal, viscid, glossy, 1-1 1/3 in. long, rosy below, paler upwards; segments subdeltoid, incurved, greenish; anthers oblong; awns straight, shorter than the cells.
Erect, sparsely branched shrub to 1.8 m. Flowers large, tubular or tubular inflated, pink with green lobes, sticky.
