Erect shrub up to 30 cm (1 ft) or so. Branches ascending and, together with the leaves and peduncles, more or less densely covered with viscid hairs. Leaves 4-nate below, the upper scattered, 4-6 mm long, erect, incurved, linear, sulcate or somewhat open-backed, puberulous and glandciliate. Flowers in many-flowered umbels; peduncles 6-16 mm long slender; bracts remote, small. Sepals 4-6 mm long, ovate or broad-lanceolate, thick, glabrous, glossy, often red. Corolla 8-10 mm long, urceolate, rosy below, purple at the narrowed throat; lobes short, stellate-spreading, obtuse. Anthers included, 1 mm long, lateral, cuneate-oblong, pale brown, membranous, appendiculate; crests narrow, less than 1/2 the length of the cell. Ovary turbinate, glabrous, substipitate; style included; stigma capitate.
Erect, compact, viscid shrublet to 30 cm. Flowers medium, urn-shaped, pink or purple.
