Characteristics

Erect, many-branched, profusely flowering shrub, up to 0.4 m high. Leaves suberect to recurved, 3-4 x 0.75 mm, linear, apex obtuse, glabrous, grooved below, glistening green. Flowers in 3-6-flowered, terminal umbels; pedicels 2 mm long, terete, glabrous; bracts fused with sepals, rarely one present on pedicel. Calyx sepals 4, 1 free and scarious, other 3 equal and ovate to oblong-ovate, ± 1.5 x 1 mm, linear-subulate. Corolla subglobose, ± 2 mm long, not constricted, glabrous; lobes triangular. Filaments incurved at base, dilated towards apex, oblong; anthers included or manifest, oblong, appendages minute, patent and aristate. Ovary globose, puberulous; style terete, far-exserted; stigma peltate with 2-4 wart-like tubercles. Flowering time July-Dec.
