Erica Thodei Gilg n. sp.; frutex squarrosus multiramosus, ramis erectis, junioribus griseis, parce breviterque pilosis, demum nigrescen-tibus, glabris, internodiis brevissimis; foliis 4-natis, erectis caulique appressis, aciculariformibus, acutis vel acutiusculis, coriaceis, quam internodia multo longioribus, glabris, supra planis, subtus convexis medioque longitudinaliter ± profunde canaliculatis; floribus ,,albidis', in apice ramorum ramulorumque 3-6-natis, pedicellis brevibus glabris; bracteis ad basin sepalorum sese approximatis ovato-lanceolatis, acutis, dorso carinatis; sepalis bracteis aequalibus, sed majoribus, dorso ecarinatis, margine manifeste fimbriatis; corolla suburceolata, vix contracta, glabra, lobis tubi cr. 1/3 longit. aequantibus vel paullo superantibus, ovatis, apice subrotundatis; antheris tubum paullo superantibus; stigmate longe exserto, manifeste incrassato-lobulato.
