Erect, more or less scrambling shrublet up to 30 cm (1 ft) or so. Branches tortuous, minutely glandular or puberulous. Leaves 3-nate, 3-10 mm long, spreading, rather distant, linear or subterete, obtuse, thick, sulcate, minutely gland-scabrous, viscidulous. Flowers in terminal, 3-to 6-flowered umbels or subcapitate; peduncles 2-3 mm long and, like the bracts, sepals and corolla, viscidulous, glabrous; bracts small, approximate or subapproximate, scarious. Sepals 2-3 mm long, lanceolate, acute, sub-scarious, veined, with margins reflexed and minutely gland-ciliate. Corolla 3 mm long, globose-urceolate, glabrous, white; lobes spreading, reflexed, obtuse, about 1/2 the length of the tube. Filaments broad; anthers more or less exserted, 0-75 mm long, broadly elliptical, very obtuse, muticous; pore very large. Ovary depressed, glabrous; style exserted; stigma capitate, large.
