Erect, woody, dwarf shrub, ± 0.6 m high. Leaves 2.1-3.2 mm long, ovate to elliptic, obtuse, thick, deeply sulcate, sometimes subopen-backed, glabrescent. Flowers solitary or in pairs on very short, lateral branchlets, erect or pendulous, subcoralline to subcalycine. Calyx sepals ± united at base, 3.2 mm long, ovate, ± 1/2 length of corolla, white-woolly. Corolla 6.3 mm long, cyathiform, mouth scarcely widened or contracted, pink; lobes erect, rounded, 1/4-1/3 length of tube. Filaments < 1/2 length of anther, rather broad; anthers ± 1.8 mm long, subulate, acute, recurved; pore 1/4-1/3 length of theca. Ovary conical, densely tomentose; style included; stigma capitellate, very small. Flowering time July-Oct.
