Erect, robust shrub, 0.6-1.5(-3.0) m high. Branches often with gland-tipped hairs and swollen tubercles. Leaves crowded, 2.0-4.2 mm long, linear, margins revolute, ± open-backed, glandular-hispid, dark green. Flowers terminal, 4-nate, clustered. Calyx sepals 1-2 mm long, ± ovate, obtuse, tipped with greenish keel, lacerate, subscarious, pubescent. Corolla up to 4.2 mm long, ovoid-urceolate, white to pale rosy pink, dry; lobes short, obtuse. Filaments bent below anther; anthers included to manifest, ± 0.6 mm long, oblong, obtusely cuneate; theca ± 1.3 mm long, minutely papillose, ciliate on front margin, aristate; pore 2/5-1/2 length of theca; appendages ± straight, spreading, setaceous, ± equal to theca.
