Erect to sprawling, slender shrublet, up to 0.6 m high, pendulant from wet, rocky ledges. Leaves 3-nate, erect to spreading and incurved, 8-12 mm long, linear, keeled, faintly sulcate, ciliate or naked, acute. Flowers axillary, pseudo-raceme 0.1-0.2 m long, somewhat lax. Calyx sepals 5 mm long, lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, acuminate, keeled. Corolla 6-8 mm long, narrowly ovoid or urceolate, 4-sided, pale yellow; lobes 1.5-2.0 mm long, spreading, recurved, ovate, obtuse or subacute. Filaments filiform; anthers included, 0.7 mm long, lateral, oblong, obtuse at both ends, pallid, muticous; pore 1/3 length of theca; appendages minute. Ovary oblong, substipitate; style included; stigma capitellate, sometimes minute. Flowering time July-Mar.
