Inflorescence: flowers 3-nate in 1 whorl, terminal on main and secondary branches; pedicel 0.2 mm long, pubescent; bract partially recaulescent, approximate to calyx, 0.4 x 0.2 mm, linear-lanceolate to elongate triangular, mostly bracteose, rarely leaf-like, pubescent, edged with sessile glands, pink; bracteoles 2, approximate, 0.1-0.3 mm long or very reduced to a tuft of hairs, pubescent. Calyx 4-lobed almost to base, appresssed to corolla, lobes 0.8 mm long, lanceolate, narrowly sulcate in upper third, pubescent, pink. Corolla 4-lobed, 2.5-3.0 x 2.0 mm, narrowly cyathiform to obconical, pubescent, light pink; lobes erect, one third of corolla, broadly obtuse, entire. Stamens 4, free, included; filaments elongate linear, 1 mm long, with sigmoid bend near apex, glabrous; anthers bipartite, dorsally attached near base, broadly ovate, spurred; thecae erect, 0.6 x 0.5 mm, oblong, straight, acute, aculeate in lower half, golden brown; spurs attached laterally on broadened apex of filament, 0.15 mm long, very narrow, pointing downwards; pore 1/3 the length of theca; pollen in tetrads. Ovary 2-locular, 0.7 x 0.7 mm, ovoid to ellipsoid, laterally compressed, obtuse, pubescent, with wel developed basal nectaries; ovules 1 per locule, pendulous, placenta apical; style exserted, 2.5 mm long, filiform; stigma simple truncate. Fruit indehiscent, 1.2 x 1.2 mm, ovoid; pericarp very hard, endocarp of several layers of lignifiec cells, no crystals; seeds ellipsoid, testa very thin, cells irregularly elongate, with jigsawed anticlinal walls, with no pits.
