Cultivation

Origin: at the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Plant Introduction Garden, Miami, Fla., about 1910. From cross between Olivier and Tanaka made by George W. Oliver. Tree: up to 9 m tall; dense, rounded canopy. Fruit: up to 5 cm long and 3.5 cm in diam.; ovoid to slightly pyriform; skin orange, firm; flesh orange, thick, juicy, firm; flavor excellent; four to six seeds; ripens February through April in Florida.
