Perennial herb with 1–several erect sparingly branched stems ± 25 cm. tall from a woody rootstock.. Stems pubescent and also pilose with ± spreading white hairs.. Leaflets 3, narrowly elliptic-lanceolate, 1·2–5 cm. long, 2–8 mm. wide, acute at the apex, cuneate, pilose with long white hairs and with shorter pubescence, glandular beneath; margins inrolled; petiole 2–9 mm. long; rhachis 2–5 mm. long; petiolules 0·5 mm. long; stipules green, linear-lanceolate, 0·7–1·5 cm. long, 1·5 mm. wide, pilose.. Racemes axillary and terminal, the flowering part 1·5–3 cm. long, ± 2 cm. wide; peduncle 2–5 cm. long, with both short and long hairs; pedicels ± 2 mm. long; bracts linear, 7–10 mm. long, 0·7 mm. wide, pilose.. Calyx pilose and glandular, ± 6 mm. long; lobes narrowly triangular, slightly longer than the tube.. Standard reddish-brown outside, flesh-coloured inside with maroon veins, obovate, 1·1 cm. long, 6–7 mm. wide, emarginate, pubescent and densely glandular; wings cream; keel pale yellow-green, densely glandular and with a row of hairs along the lower margin.. Pods oval-oblong, 1·1 cm. long, 7 mm. wide, covered with short hairs, sparse glands and long hairs ± 2·5 mm. long..
