Leaflets 3, paler beneath, mostly deflexed, elliptic, 2–5 cm. long, 1–2 cm. wide, acute, cuneate, pilose to densely hairy on both surfaces or only on the nerves beneath, sparsely glandular above, densely glandular beneath; primary venation raised beneath; tertiary venation reticulate; leaflet-surface often plicate; petiole 0·7–1·5 cm. long; rhachis ± 1 mm. long; petiolules 1–2 mm. long; stipules leaf-opposed, mostly brown, lanceolate, 1·3–1·5 cm. long, 3–3·5(–5) mm. wide, hairy, closely veined.. Racemes terminal and in the upper axils, frequently giving a falsely corymbose effect, dense, 1·5–3·5(–4·5) cm. long above a ferruginous peduncle 0·5–8 cm. long, 1·8–2 cm. wide, woolly; pedicels obsolete; bracts persistent, conspicuously protruding from the wool, lanceolate, 0·8–1·1 cm. long, 1–2 mm. wide, acuminate, densely hairy.. Calyx densely hairy outside, pubescent inside, 6–9 mm. long; lobes unequal, narrowly triangular or linear, acuminate, ± equalling the tube..
