Leaflets 1–3, pale green, all or only the lower leaves reduced to 1 leaflet, oblong-elliptic or elliptic to linear-lanceolate, 1·2–12 cm. long, 0·5–4·5 cm. wide, acute or subacute and mucronulate at the apex or in the case of the lowermost leaves, obtuse, truncate to cuneate, glabrous above and with only slight pubescence on the nerves beneath, densely glandular on both surfaces; petiole 2–5 mm. long; rhachis 0–7 mm. long; petiolules 1–2 mm. long, pubescent; stipules green, lanceolate, 0·3–3 cm. long, 0·8–2·5 mm. wide, attenuate, almost glabrous, veined.. Racemes 1–2, terminal and axillary, the flowering part 3–5·5 cm. long, 1 cm. wide; peduncle 1–2·8 cm. long, densely pubescent; pedicels ± 1 mm. long, the flowers very deflexed; bracts subpersistent, linear, 4–6 mm. long, dilated below, glabrescent, forming a tuft at the apices of young inflorescences..
