Leaflets 1–3, pale green, all or only the lower leaves reduced to 1 leaflet, 1.2–12 × 0.5–4.5 cm, oblong-elliptic or elliptic to linear-lanceolate, acute or subacute and mucronulate at the apex or in the case of the lowermost leaves obtuse, truncate to cuneate at the base, glabrous above and with only slight pubescence on the nerves beneath, densely glandular on both surfaces; petiole 2–5 mm long; rhachis 0–7 mm long; petiolules 1–2 mm long, pubescent; stipules green, 3–30 × 0.8–2.5 mm, lanceolate, attenuate, almost glabrous, veined.
Racemes 1–2, terminal and axillary, the flowering part 3–5.5 × 1 cm; peduncle 1–2.8 cm long, densely pubescent; pedicels c. 1 mm long, the flowers very deflexed; bracts subpersistent, 4–6 mm long, linear, dilated below, glabrescent, forming a tuft at the apices of young inflorescences.
Standard yellow, green towards the base, 6.5–8 × 2–2.5 mm, oblong, widest just above the claw, emarginate, glabrous but densely glandular along the median line outside; wings and keel yellow, greenish towards their claws.
Stem pale green, ridged, densely pubescent, particularly on the 4 main ridges, and glandular when young, later almost glabrous.
Erect perennial herb with single slender unbranched stem 10–45 cm tall from an ovoid woody tuber c. 2–3 × 1–2 cm.
Calyx glabrous but densely glandular, 3.5–4 mm long; lobes triangular, shorter than the tube.
Pods 8.5 × 5.5 mm, oblong, covered with long hairs and glands.
