Characteristics

Leaves 1-foliolate; leaflet 0.9–7.7 × 0.8–3.4 cm, elliptic to elliptic-ovate, subacute to rounded but slightly mucronulate at the apex, cordate to cordate-auriculate at the base, finely inconspicuously pubescent above and beneath, densely pale gland-dotted beneath, 5–7-nerved from the base; petiole obsolete; petiolule 0.5–2 mm long; stipules 4 × 1.2 mm, lanceolate-triangular, striate, pubescent.

Corolla yellow with brown veining; standard 5 × 3 mm inclusive of claw, obovate-oblong, median part outside gland-dotted and pubescent; wings narrow, 4–8 mm long including 0.8 mm long claw; keel petals 3.5 × 2 mm, ± oblong with claw 0.6 mm long; ovary 1.5 mm long; style 3.2 mm long, bent at about one-third from the base.
Calyx tube c. 1 mm long, upper 2 lobes entirely dark, 1.8 mm long, lanceolate, pilose with spreading yellow hairs; lateral lobes dark at the apex, pale at the base, 1.2 mm long, lower lobe pale, c. 1 mm long, triangular.
Inflorescences axillary; rhachis up to 1.2 cm long, few-flowered; peduncles very slender, 1.5–8 cm long; pedicels 1 mm long; bracts very deciduous.
Stems pale, very graceful, ridged, 10–50 cm long, pilose with white hairs or almost glabrous; internodes up to 9 cm long.
Decumbent perennial herb from a small ellipsoid tuber 15 × 6 mm.
