Perennial herb with ± prostrate stems, very branched at the base, 10–35 cm. long, from a depressed globose woody tuber 1·8 cm. long and 1·5–2·8 cm. wide.. Stems leafy, covered with long spreading white hairs.. Leaflets 3, the median one narrowly to broadly oblong-obovate or obovate, 0·9–1·7 cm. long, 0·6–1·4 cm. wide, widest near the apex which is rounded or truncate but mucronulate, narrowed to a rounded base, the lateral leaflets obliquely ovate, the midrib being very excentric, 0·6–1·6 cm. long, 0·4–1 cm. wide, adpressed pilose above and on the veins beneath, glandular beneath; petiole 3–5 mm. long; rhachis 4–5 mm. long; petiolules 1 mm. long; stipules green and leafy, ovate to lanceolate, falcate, 6–11 mm. long, 2–5·5 mm. wide, often rounded at the base, ciliate, veined.. Racemes axillary, the flowering part 2–5 cm. long, 1·7 cm. wide; peduncle 3·5–16 cm. long, pubescent and spreading pilose; pedicels 1·5 mm. long; bracts deciduous, lanceolate, 5·5–7 mm. long, 1 mm. wide, ciliate, appearing comose in the inflorescence.. Calyx sparsely pilose and glandular, 4·5–5 mm. long; lobes triangular to lanceolate, ± equalling the tube.. Standard cream or lemon-yellow, oblong or obovate, 8·5–9·5 mm. long, 3·5–5 mm. wide, sparsely hairy particularly on the claw, densely covered with yellow glands; wings cream or pale yellow; keel cream or pale yellow, very densely glandular..
