Spine-shields oblong-triangular, ± 3 × 2 mm. above the spines, decurrent to just above the flowering eye below; spines slender to 6 mm. long; prickles to 1 mm. long.. Leaves deltoid, 1 mm. long.. Cymes solitary. 1-forked, subsessile; bracts subquadrate, ± 1.5 × 1.5 mm.. Cyathia ± 3 × 5.5 mm., with funnel-shaped involucres; glands transversely rectangular, ± 1.5 × 2.8 mm, contiguous, yellow; lobes transversely elliptic, ± 1 × 2 mm.. Male flowers: bracteoles fan-shaped, dentate; stamens 3.5 mm. long.. Female flower: styles 2.3 mm. long, joined at the base, apices thickened.. Capsule sessile, obtusely 3-lobed, ± 3.5 × 5 mm.. Seeds ovoid, 2.5 × 2 mm., brown, shallowly tuberculate.
