Cyathia subsessile, ± 3 × 4.5 mm. excluding the gland-processes, with cup-shaped involucres, glabrous; glands 4, spreading, transversely rectangular, ± 1.2 × 1.5–2.5 mm., 2 horned and with the margin between entire, or irregularly crenulate, or more usually with 1–4(–8) finger-like processes similar to the horns, horns and processes to 1.5 mm. long; lobes subquadrate, ± 1.2 × 1 mm., apex deeply and irregularly toothed, margin ciliate towards the base..
