Characteristics

Leaves with a petiole 1 mm long; stipules c. 0.5 mm long, linear from a broad base; lamina to 12 × 6 mm, ovate, rounded at the apex, obliquely subcordate at the base, dentate at the margin, somewhat leathery, upper surface glabrous, lower surface sparsely pilose.

Cyathia terminal and pseudoaxillary, solitary on peduncles to 1 mm long, c. 1 × 1 mm with cup-shaped involucres, glabrous; glands 4, c. 0.5 mm wide, transversely elliptic, with white narrow minutely crenulate appendages; lobes acutely triangular, ciliate.
Capsule exserted on a reflexed pedicel to 3.5 mm long, 2.5 × 2.5 mm, deeply 3-lobed with truncate base, pilose.
Female flower: ovary pedicellate, densely pilose; styles 0.5 mm long, spreading, deeply bifid.
Perennial herb with woody branches to 20 cm long, densely pilose with long soft hairs.
Seeds 1.5 × 1.2 mm, ovoid, obtusely 4-angled, shallowly pitted, reddish-brown.
