Characteristics

Annual herb, 4–7 cm high.. Stem branched or simple, angles smooth or narrowly winged.. Leaves 15–20 mm long, lanceolate-elliptic, (1–)2–5 mm wide, acute, narrowed to a pseudopetiole up to 1 mm long.. Inflorescences axillary fascicles; pseudopeduncle well developed.. Flowers pale pinkish.. Calyx almost divided to the base with tube ± 0.2 mm long; segments lanceolate, 1.8–2.3 mm long, 0.5–0.7 mm wide, apex acuminate, smooth, margins hyaline, prominently 1-nerved.. Corolla tube cylindrical, 1.5–1.7 mm long, smooth; lobes ± 0.8–1 mm long, elliptic, acute.. Filaments ± 0.4–0.7 mm long, inserted just below the sinuses of corolla lobes; anthers 0.2–0.3 mm long.. Ovary ovoid, 1 mm long, 0.5–0.8 mm wide; style ± 1 mm long, filiform; stigma minute, bilobed.. Capsule ellipsoid to ovoid, 1.3–1.8 mm long, 0.8–1 mm diameter.. Seeds numerous, subellipsoid, triquetrous, ± 0.2–0.3 mm long, surface reticulate.
