Leaves 3–25 x 1.5–8 mm., lanceolate or oblanceolate, subacute at the apex, cuneate at the base, thinly fleshy.
Corolla tube 1.2–1.5 mm. long, cylindric, papillose; lobes 2–2.7 x 0.6–0.75 mm., oblong-lanceolate, obtuse.
Flowers mauve, blue to purple, in axillary many-flowered fascicles; pedicels 2–5 mm. long, papillate.
Ovary 1.5–1.8 x 0.6–0.7 mm., cylindric-obovoid; style 4–4.3 mm. long, filiform; stigma subcapitate.
Filaments 4–4.5 mm. long, filiform; anthers c. 0.5 mm. long, ovoid.
Stem not or more or less branched from above the base, 4-ridged.
Seeds c. 0.3 mm. in diam., subglobose, minutely scrobiculate.
Capsule 1.8–2 x 0.7–0.8 mm., cylindric-obovoid.
Erect annual herb, 5–20 cm. tall.
