Characteristics

Calyx tube 0.5–0.7 mm. long, campanulate; lobes 1.5–2.5 x 0.5–0.9 mm., lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, not winged, with more or less denticulate margins, 1-nerved.

Leaves 3–25 x 1.5–8 mm., lanceolate or oblanceolate, subacute at the apex, cuneate at the base, thinly fleshy.
Corolla tube 1.2–1.5 mm. long, cylindric, papillose; lobes 2–2.7 x 0.6–0.75 mm., oblong-lanceolate, obtuse.
Flowers mauve, blue to purple, in axillary many-flowered fascicles; pedicels 2–5 mm. long, papillate.
