Characteristics

Calyx tube 0.8–1 mm. long, campanulate-urceolate; lobes 2–2.5 x 0.8–1 mm., ovate, strongly winged on the keel, shortly cuspidate at the apex.

Flowers pale mauve to white-purplish arranged in axillary 2–4-flowered fascicles; pedicels up to 2 mm. long, filiform, 4-winged.
Leaves 10–35 x 2–7 mm., elliptic or oblong-elliptic, obtuse at the apex, slightly connate at the base.
Corolla tube 1.5–1.7 mm. long; lobes 1–1.2 x 0.3–0.5 mm., ovate, externally subapically corniculate.
Ovary 1.5–1.7 x 0.9–1 mm., obovoid-ellipsoid; style 0.9–1 mm. long; stigma shortly bilobed.
Filaments 0.25–0.5 mm. long, filiform; anthers 0.4–0.5 mm. long, cylindric-ovoid.
Stem woody at the base, up to 10 cm. long, 4-ridged, almost winged.
Seeds c. 0.3 mm. in diam., subglobose, minutely scrobiculate.
