Characteristics

Perennial, dwarf shrublet, up to 0.1 m high, forming compact clusters. Leaves keeled forming a chin, margins with 6-13 even teeth, glaucous with white dots. Flowers solitary, yellow, open in afternoon. Flowering time autumn. Capsules woody, 5(6-locular, locules hidden by lamellae thus appearing empty, typical closing bodies and covering membranes absent, valve wings present, tops raised.
