Felicia amoena (Sch.Bip.) Levyns

Biennial or perennial herb, 0.06-1.28 m high, side branches sometimes ascending, rooting at nodes. Leaves alternate or opposite, subsessile, the lower leaves usually opposite, becoming alternate upwards, lanceolate to obovate, entire, hairy, glabrescent. Capitula radiate, solitary, long pedunculate; peduncles densely hairy below capitula; involucral bracts arranged in 2 rows, ± equal in size, hairy on the outside. Ray florets dark blue. Disc florets yellow. Flowering time May-Nov. Pappus of barbellate bristles, present in both ray and disc florets. Cypselae obovate, black-brown, thickly margined, with short hairs.
