Characteristics

Erect, branched shrub, up to 0.4 m high. Leaves opposite, rarely alternate, elliptic, obovate, lanceolate to oblanceolate, entire, appressed-pubescent or glabrescent. Capitula radiate, solitary, long pedunculate, appressed-pubescent; involucral bracts arranged in 2 rows, ± equal in size, shortly hairy and with hair tufts at apex. Ray florets white or blue. Disc florets yellow. Flowering time July-Jan. Pappus of barbellate bristles, present in both ray and disc florets. Cypselae obovate, black, shortly hairy.
