Spikelets 5.5–6.5(–7) mm, brownish; florets 3–5; lower glume narrowly lanceolate; upper glume broadly lanceolate, ciliolate along margins; lemmas 3.5–4.5 mm, scabrid on upper back; awns (0.2–)0.8–1.5 mm. Anthers 1.5–2 mm. Fl. Jul.
