Cultivation

A short-day cultivar adapted to the central-northern region of Italy and suitable for tunnel and open-field culture. Origin: New Fruits, s.a.s., Cesena, Italy, by D. Musacchi, G. Raggi, D. Bernadini, and E. Marchetti. Unreported parentage; cross made in 1995; discovered in Cesena, Italy, in 1997; tested as NF 311; patented in 2006. EU PVR grant no. 16744. Tree: short-day type; quite vigorous; medium erect habit; high yielding. Fruit: large; quite uniform; long conical; bright red; good flavor; produces fruit in the early season.
