Tree: large, vigorous, very tall; moderately productive; usually resistant to leaf spot; flower perfect, size medium. Fruit: large to very large; quite uniform, conic to wedgeconic, apex pointed; skin dark glossy red, attractive, coloring evenly, bruises slightly; hull very large, flat, bright green, achenes sunken; flesh dark red, juicy, tender, sprightly; very well adapted for preserves, for nearby markets and home use; ripens in early midseason, 5 days after Howard 17.
