Cultivation

Partially everbearing strawberry for commercial production in coastal central California. Origin: Driscoll Strawberry Associates, Watsonville, CA, by K.L. Gilford, B.D. Mowrey, and J. Coss. 73D144 × 88E94; selected 2000. USPP 16,299; 28 Feb. 2006. Tree: strong vigor; relatively low yield, 285 g/plant; flat, dense foliage; inflorescence beneath foliage; short fruiting trusses 8.8 cm. Fruit: variable orange-red skin; medium-large, 28.9 g; conical to almost cylindrical; flesh orange-red, small hollow center; achenes greyed-red to yellow-green, medium band without; harvest November to March.
