A perennial hermaphrodite deciduous herb. It grows 0.1-0.5m high.
An ornamental strawberry continuously producing attractive pink flowers. Origin: in Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, England, by J.R. Ellis. Fragaria xanassa × Potentilla palustris and selected from fifth backcross to F. xanassa; introd. in 1989. Assignee is Blooms of Bressingham Ltd., Norfolk, England. USPP 7598. Flower: deep pink; bloom period from mid-spring to late fall. Tree: herbaceous perennial, spreads by runners; leaves compound with three leaflets and are semi-evergreen and die back under severe winter conditions. Used as ground cover, pot plant, or hanging basket. Fruit: small; white with dark green seeds turning glossy scarlet and dark crimson with dark brown seeds; more produced in warm weather.
