Calif. 67.5 (Nich Ohmer × USDA 634) × Calif. 177.21 [USDA 543 × Calif. 68.24 (USDA 634 × New York 4626)); N.Y. 4626 = Marshall × Howard 17; cross made in 1935; selected in 1937; tested as Calif. 403.8. Tree: productive; fairly vigorous; runner production medium; foliage dark bluishgreen; best adapted in central coast area of California; fair resistance to mildew and virus diseases; susceptible to verticillium wilt. Fruit: large, producing good sizes throughout the harvest season; blunt conic; skin attractive, medium tough, bright red, glossy; achenes greenish-yellow, flush with surface; flesh red, firm, flavor good, medium juicy, mildly subacid, processing quality good; ripens in midseason, and continues in production through the summer in the central coast area of California.
