Characteristics

Small shrub; stems with curved or hooked hairs, later glabrous; internodes to 1.5 cm long. Leaves petiolate, 2–5.5 mm long, 0.5–0.8 mm wide; glabrous and punctate on upper surface, puberulous below. Flowers in forked dichasia; bracts and bracteoles petiolate, linear, almost terete, 1–2.5 mm long, with sparse, hooked hairs above densely pubescent below, the petiole flattened, winged. Calyx 4.5–5 mm long, with short curved or hooked hairs above. Petals 5, 8–9 mm long. Stamens 4. Style 2-branched; stigmas minute, not capitate; ovules 2, basal; funicles long, recurved above.
