Characteristics

Much-branched, small shrub; stems ascending to erect; internodes short. Leaves petiolate, linear to linear-oblong, almost subterete, 2.8–4.5 mm long; upper surface densely scabrid-pilose; underside densely pilose; margins recurved. Flowers in dichasia; bracts and bracteoles similar to leaves. Calyx 3–5 mm long, densely setulose-pubescent outside. Petals 5, 5–7 mm long. Stamens 6. Style 3-branched; stigmas capitate; ovules 3 per ovary, basal; funicles reflexed.
