Leaves rather glossy, opposite or ternate; blades oblong or ovate-oblong to narrowly oblong-obovate, (5–)10–22 cm. long, (2–)4.5–9.5 cm. wide, acuminate-cuspidate at the apex, cuneate at the base, rather thin, sometimes slightly undulate at the margin; petiole 0.5–1.3 cm. long; stipules ovate or ovate-triangular, 1–1.5 cm. long, obtuse, membranous, joined together on one side..
