Inflorescence erect, simple, 20–35(50) cm. high; peduncle straight, rigid, terete, 1–1.5 mm. thick, sparsely or very sparsely covered with short gland-tipped hairs below, more densely so above; flowers (4)6–10(20), congested; scales numerous, similar to the bracts but somewhat longer; bracts basifixed, ovate-lanceolate, c. 2 mm. long; bracteoles similar but shorter; pedicels suberect at anthesis, 1–3 mm. long, elongating and strongly decurving in fruit, more or less densely covered with short gland-tipped hairs.
Corolla mauve or purple, 7–10 mm. long, covered externally with snort gland-tipped hairs; superior lip ovate-oblong, with apex truncate, about twice as long as the calyx lobes; inferior lip longer and broader, rather shallowly 3-lobed; palate slightly raised; spur cylindrical from a conical base, 2–three times as long as the inferior lip.
Calyx-lobes oblong-ovate, obtuse, subequal, c. 2 mm. long, 3-nerved, more or less densely covered externally with short gland-tipped hairs.
Ovary globose, densely covered with short gland-tipped hairs; style short; stigma inferior lip semi-circular, the superior lip obsolete.
Seeds numerous, ovoid, 0.3–0.4 mm. long, reticulate; testa cells more or less isodiametric.
Capsule globose, 2.5–3 mm. in diam., densely covered with short gland-tipped hairs.
Leaves very numerous, densely rosulate, spathulate, up to 3 cm. × 4 mm.
Filaments falcate c. 1 mm. long; anther-thecae subdistinct.
Traps numerous, up to 20 cm. total length.
Stem short, erect.
