Inflorescence erect, simple, 20–35(–50) cm. high; scape straight, rigid, terete, 1–1.5 mm. thick, sparsely or very sparsely covered with short gland-tipped hairs below, more densely so above; flowers (4–)6–10(–20), congested; scales numerous, similar to the bracts; bracts basifixed, ovate-lanceolate, ± 2 mm. long; bracteoles similar but shorter; pedicels erect at anthesis, 1–3 mm. long, elongating and strongly recurving in fruit, ± densely covered with short gland-tipped hairs.. Calyx-lobes oblong-ovate, obtuse, subequal, ± 2 mm. long, 3-nerved, ± densely covered externally with short gland-tipped hairs.. Corolla mauve or purple, 7–10 mm. long, covered externally with short gland-tipped hairs; upper lip ovate-oblong, apex truncate, about twice as long as the calyx-lobes; lower lip longer and broader, rather shallowly 3-lobed; palate slightly raised; spur cylindrical from a conical base, 2–3 times as long as the lower lip..
