Characteristics

Inflorescence erect, simple, up to 15 cm. high; peduncle straight, rigid, terete, c. 0.7 mm. thick, sparsely covered with short gland-tipped hairs below, more densely so above; flowers 4–8, distant; scales numerous, similar to the bracts; bracts basifixed, ovate-lanceolate, c. 1.5 mm. long; bracteoles similar but shorter; pedicels erect at anthesis, elongating and strongly decurving in fruit, 5–10 mm. long, more or less densely covered with short gland-tipped hairs.

Corolla cream with a yellow palate, 7–10 mm. long with a few gland-tipped hairs on the spur, glabrous or with sparse sessile glands elsewhere; superior lip ovate-oblong, with apex truncate, about twice as long as the calyx lobes; inferior lip longer and broader, rather shallowly 3-lobed; palate slightly raised; spur cylindrical from a conical base, 2–3 times as long as the inferior lip.
Calyx lobes oblong-ovate, obtuse, subequal, c. 1.5 mm. long, 3-nerved, more or less densely covered externally with short gland-tipped hairs.
Ovary globose, densely covered with short gland-tipped hairs; style short; stigma inferior lip semi-circular, the upper lip obsolete.
Seeds numerous, ovoid, c. 0.3 mm. long, reticulate; testa cells more or less isodiametric.
Capsule globose, c. 3 mm. in diam., densely covered with short gland-tipped hairs.
Leaves very numerous, densely rosulate, spathulate, up to 3 cm. × 4 mm.
Filaments falcate, 1 mm. long; anther-thecae subdistinct.
Traps numerous, up to 10 cm. total length.
