Characteristics

Plants 150–350 mm tall. Free part of leaf 15–30 mm long, ending below flowers. Spike 20–60 mm long, 6–16-flowered. Flowers moderately crowded, porrect to semi-nodding, 8 × 6 mm, greenish purple to brownish purple with darker stripes, labellum and callus dark purple. Dorsal sepal 4 × 2.2 mm, decurved, margins with long, coarse hairs, tip sharply pointed. Lateral sepals curved, widely divergent, 5 × 1.5 mm, base flat, tips sharply pointed. Petals 3.5 × 1.4 mm, margins with long, coarse hairs, tips sharply pointed. Labellum stiffly hinged, 3 × 1.5 mm, margins with long, coarse hairs, tip recurved or coiled, sharply pointed. Callus extending about halfway to labellum apex.
