Characteristics

Leaf 150–200 mm long, thin; free part 8–15 mm long, ending below flowers. Spike 10–30 mm long, 2–20-flowered. Flowers well-spaced to moderately crowded, porrect to semi-nodding, 4–4.5 × 3.5–4 mm, dark reddish brown to dark purplish brown, often greenish towards sepal tips or centre of flower. Dorsal sepal 3–3.5 × 2.5 mm, with dark bands; margins glabrous. Lateral sepals divergent, deflexed, 4–4.5 × 1–1.3 mm, base shallowly humped; apex blunt. Petals c. 2.5 × 1 mm; margins dark, glabrous; apex sharply pointed. Labellum stiffly hinged, obovate to wedge-shaped, 2.5–3 × 1.5–1.8 mm, curved, fleshy, green and purplish black; margins irregularly thickened; apex upturned, shortly pointed. Callus oblong, extending nearly to labellum apex.
