Characteristics

Leaf 200–300 mm long; free part 15–20 mm long, ending well below flowers. Spike 40–55 mm long, 20–33-flowered. Flowers moderately crowded, semi-nodding, 6 × 5 mm, dark purplish black, lemon-scented. Dorsal sepal 5 × 2 mm, with dark bands; margins hairy. Lateral sepals obliquely deflexed, widely divergent, 5.5 × 1.3 mm, base humped. Petals 3.5 × 1.2 mm, with dark bands; margins sparsely hairy. Labellum tremulous, 4 × 1.5 mm, narrow, thin-textured; margins with numerous coarse hairs c. 1 mm long; apex sharply pointed, recurved. Callus narrow, not extending to labellum apex.
