Characteristics

Leaf 80–180 mm long, thin; free part 12–20 mm long, ending below flowers. Spike 10–35 mm long, 5–30-flowered. Flowers moderately crowded, porrect to semi-nodding, 4.5–5 × 3–3.5 mm, dark purplish black or reddish black with green dorsal sepal. Dorsal sepal 2.5 × 2.5 mm, greenish with dark marginal bands; margins glabrous. Lateral sepals divergent, 4.5–5 × 1.2–1.4 mm, base shallowly humped; apex with tiny vestigial gland. Petals 2.5–2.8 × 1.2 mm; margins glabrous; apex sharply pointed. Labellum stiffly hinged, obovate, 2.4–2.8 × 1.2–1.5 mm, fleshy, purplish black; margins slightly irregular; apex sharply pointed. Callus oblong to ovate, extending nearly to labellum apex.
