Characteristics

Leaf 60–300 mm long; free part 10–20 mm long, ending just below lowest flower. Spike 20–40 mm long, 10–25-flowered. Flowers crowded, semi-nodding, 7–9 × 5–6 mm, dark reddish purple with darker lines. Dorsal sepal 6.5–7 × 2.5–3 mm; margins entire; apex sharply pointed. Lateral sepals nearly parallel, 8–9 × 1.6–2 mm; apex pointed. Petals 6–6.5 × 2.5 mm; margins entire or with a few sparse short hairs; apex sharply pointed. Labellum stiffly hinged, obovate, 4.5–5 × 2.5–2.8 mm, thick and fleshy, shallowly curved, apex recurved, sharply pointed; margins with coarse hairs to 0.8 mm long. Callus broadest near base then tapered, extending nearly to labellum apex.
