Characteristics

Leaf 60–150 mm long; free part 10–15 mm long, ending below flowers. Spike 15–25 mm long, 5–12-flowered. Flowers moderately crowded, porrect, 6 × 5 mm, dark reddish purple. Dorsal sepal 5.5 × 2.5 mm; margins glabrous. Lateral sepals obliquely erect, nearly parallel, 7 × 1.2 mm, base not humped. Petals 5 × 1 mm, spreading, margins glabrous; apex sharply pointed. Labellum stiffly hinged, obovate-elliptical, 4 × 1.8 mm, thick, fleshy, base and apex sharply recurved; margins with coarse hairs to 1 mm long; apex ending in prominent mucro. Callus tapered from near base, extending nearly to labellum apex.
