Characteristics

Leaf 120–200 mm long; free part 12–20 mm long, ending well below flowers. Spike 20–30 mm long, 10–20-flowered. Flowers crowded, nodding, 6–7 × 5–6 mm, dark reddish purple. Dorsal sepal 6 × 3 mm, with dark bands; margins glabrous. Lateral sepals obliquely deflexed, divergent, 6.5–7 × 1.5–1.8 mm, base not humped. Petals 5.5 × 2 mm, with dark bands; margins with coarse hairs; apex sharply pointed. Labellum stiffly hinged, elliptical, 4.3 × 2.2 mm, dark purplish red, thick, fleshy; margins with coarse hairs; apex sharply pointed. Callus extending to labellum apex.
