Characteristics

Leaf 60–80 mm long; free part 6–12 mm long, projecting through flowers. Spike 8–15 mm long, 5–20-flowered. Flowers crowded, semi-nodding, 4.5–5 × 3.5–4 mm, reddish brown to purplish brown. Dorsal sepal c. 4 × 2.2 mm; margins glabrous; apex sharply pointed. Lateral sepals decurved, divergent, 4.5–5 × 1.2–1.4 mm; apex with small white gland. Petals ovate, 2.5 × 1 mm; margins glabrous; apex with prominent white globose gland. Labellum stiffly hinged, 2.4–2.8 × 1–1.2 mm, narrowly oblong-obovate, thick and fleshy, upper distal surface toothed/papillate; margins strongly toothed; apex pointed. Callus extending about three-quarters of way to labellum apex.
