Characteristics

Plant 60–120 mm tall. Leaf 50–100 mm long; free part 10–15 mm long, often close to lowest flower. Spike 5–20 mm long, 2–7-flowered. Flowers well-spaced, porrect, 6–7 × 5 mm, yellowish green with red or purple stripes and suffusions, labellum red. Dorsal sepal 4–5 × 3 mm, with three dark veins; margins red, glabrous; apex sharply pointed. Lateral sepals reddish-purple, 7–8 × 1.5–1.8 mm, widely divergent; base not humped. Petals 3–4 × 1.5–2 mm, with three dark veins; margins red, glabrous; apex shortly pointed. Labellum stiffly hinged, oblong, 3 × 1 mm; margins with hairs c. 0.5 mm long; apex upcurved, shortly pointed. Callus arrowhead-shaped, broadest at base and tapered to a pointed apex, dark red, extending nearly to labellum apex, five dark veins extending on either side to labellum margin.
