Characteristics

Leaf 100–180 mm long; free part 10–15 mm long, ending well below first flower. Spike 20–40 mm long, dense, 10–25-flowered. Flowers crowded, porrect to semi-nodding, 6 × 4.5 mm, dark purplish black, occasionally sepals greenish. Dorsal sepal 3.5 × 2.3 mm; margins with tiny gland-tipped hairs; apex sharply pointed. Lateral sepals obliquely erect, nearly parallel, 4.5 × 1.3 mm; base humped. Petals 3 × 1.2 mm; margins with tiny gland-tipped hairs; apex sharply pointed. Labellum stiffly hinged, obovate, 2.8 × 1.5 mm, thick, fleshy; margins with tiny gland-tipped hairs; apex pointed. Callus nearly as large as labellum lamina, extending nearly to labellum apex.
