Glottiphyllum difforme (L.) N.E.Br.

Mat-forming plants with decussate, erect, markedly anisophyllous leaves with white, broadly dentate margins; leaves of seedling decussate, isophyllous, pointed; bladder cells inconspicuous, moderately undulate, elongate along green parts of margins; fruit stalks persistent, base spongy, valve rims visibly high, valve wings completely reduced; seeds echinate with long papillae in dorsal region, dimorphic rodlets on papillae dense (rarely papillae and rodlets reduced), length 1.10-1.45 mm, width 0.80-1.15 mm.
