Characteristics

Herb, parasite, 0.15-0.40 m high; stem greenish yellow or dull red, glabrous to villous, simple. Leaves imbricate, scaly, concave, elliptical, 7-13 x 3-5 mm, apex acute, subacute or obtuse; villous, hairs directed upwards. Inflorescence with 6-12 light pink flowers. Bracts elliptical, concave, apex acute, or obtuse, villous. Calyx bilabiate, campanulate or obconical at base, villous externally, lobes deltate-lanceolate. Corolla: white or pale yellow, dorsally keeled, externally villous, internally glabrescent, throat white or yellow, limb pink or lilac, lobe orbicular-obovate, crenulate, lobulate or lacerate, pubescent at margins. Stamens didynamous, included; filaments puberulent. Ovary spherical, ovoid; style incurved at tip; stigma globose. Flowering time Nov.-Feb.
