Characteristics

Plant stemless, about 5 cm diam., proliferous from the base and forming dense clusters. Leaves 30-40, erect-spreading, 15-20 mm long, 6-8 mm broad, about 3 mm thick, lanceolate, acuminate and terminating in a short pellucid bristle, dark green in color, becoming blackish-green towards the tips in strong light, somewhat pellucid towards tips; face of leaf somewhat convex with 3-5 lengthwise lines more or less anastomosing and tuberculate in the upper part; back of leaf convex and keeled in the upper part, darker green than face and with darker lengthwise lines and numerous whitish tubercles; margins and keel with minute pellucid teeth.
