Characteristics

Mostly growing solitary, rarely with basal offsets. Rosette: acaulescent, 25-40 x 10-15 mm large. Leaves: 7-12, fleshy, erect, with truncated leaf-ends, distichously arranged, 15-20 mm long, 10-15 mm broad, 3-4.5 mm thick. Leaf colour: dark green. Margins: none, because of their oval sectional area. End-areas: translucent, 10-15 x 3-4.5 mm large, containing some longish, withish, opaque structures. The whole leaf surface is covered with translucent, hairlike papillae, up to 1 mm long.
